Following a one-day closure for Egypt's spring holiday, the Rafah crossing on its border with the Gaza Strip reopened Tuesday, allowing travelers with permits to pass in both directions, officials said.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Director of the crossings area, Gaza police officer Ayyoub Abu Sha’ar said all travelers registered before April 20 would be permitted to pass through the border terminal on Tuesday.

The crossing closed for one day, as Egypt marked Sinai Liberation Day and the Sham Al-Nessim holiday celebrating the beginning of spring in Egypt.
